Africa Phytosanitary Programme(APP) refresher training workshop for Phytosanitary Surveillance Officers from five French speaking countries, Guinea-Bissau , Mali , Morocco, Democratic Republic of Congo and Cameroon as the host country. The Africa Phytosanitary Programme (APP) is the first-ever, Continent-wide Phytosanitary Programme,envisioned to support all 54 African countries to prevent and manage plant pests. A five year initiative of the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC) and implemented in coordination with FAO and the African Union, APP aims to empower national plant International Plant Protection Convention Organisations (NPPOs)in Africa to effectively monitor, efficiently and quickly detect, and ultimately respond and recover from plant pest and diseases to regulatory, economic, and environmental significance.
